The Denim Trend

Hey all!

This summer there are so many trends that I find totally fun and rad. I have a hard time deciding which trend to pull off each day. My favorites are the nudes, the lace and of course THE DENIM. Now, don't think your favorite pair of jeans. I'm thinking denim in a lot more ways.

The denim fabric is so flattering, weather its a little thicker, or a little thinner (think chambray). It consistently has that same denim effect.  Weather its a full dress, straight dress or bohemian style dress, it always has that effortless style to it. And the awesome thing is you can wear it almost anywhere, dress it up or down.

Celebrities are rocking this trend with rompers, trendy dresses, and even taking a look to the past with a retro style dress. From what I see they are styling it to perfection.  I love how reality star Khloe Kardashian looks sophisticated chic pairing her denim dress with black platformed pumps and dark sunglasses.  Kate Bosworth looks biker rad in her denim dress with military buttons paired with a leather motorcycle jacket.

SJP J'adore!

The Cannes Film Festival, in Cannes, France aside for having a great slew of new movies to share there’s always some fantastic fashion pieces. This year was no different, as I sat attentively at my computer screen waiting for the stream of photos to flood in. There were many great styles outfitted on various red carpets but one stood out to me.

Sarah Jessica Parker looked ravishing in her style choices. The first was at the premier of Peter Chan’s movie called Wu Xia (which will be known as Dragon in the states). She was wearing an amazing vintage inspired look by Ellie Saab. The beautiful georgette flowy dress with floral print and lace detailing at the sleeves, neck, and waist was perfect. She didn’t over accessorize the look. She kept it simple with her hair pulled back showing off that beautiful lace at the neck.

Later that night she wowed again, at the premier of “I think she’s in a league of her own” when she swapped into a Dolce & Gabbana white embroidered maxi dress. I felt that the dress had a real Retro style feel. She did a great job belting it with a sequin belt. I personally feel the pearls were excessive – so much prettier on it’s own. Another factor that I love is that she wore white! My favorite color this time of year you can never go wrong.

Memorial Day..Wardrobe help is here!

The Memorial Day holiday marks the unofficial start to summer fashion. These first summer weeks are always a bit awkward. You are coming from sweaters and layers to the final bliss of skin exposure. Yes, it’s that time you can expose your skin and you will get sun kissed rather then iced.

How to go about this transition in a stylish manor? What are the best looks for this summer season? No Worries, we got the answers you are all looking for, to get you ready for that fantastic Memorial Day event.

This season must have styles that you can’t miss out are the rompers, the lace, the maxi, the floral, anything mustache, and of course the white!! I’ll throw together some Mod clothing styles for you and let you pick your way to being the fashionista of the day.

For a comfy, yet poppy look you have to try the Raspberry Wrap Romper, which actually comes with that great vegan belt

For that sexy look try the snow white dress. You have that exposure with the one shoulder and of course the ever loved color of white! It’s the perfect way to welcome summer. Just say it – These trendy dresses are awesome!!

If you are feeling risky you have to do the white shorts look we give you two ways to do it. Either in white lace, or one with sailor like gold buttons on it. Hotness!! Is all I can see. Match them up with one of our great tops! This seasons great seller and loved by all is the Effortless Peach Top, so cool, so breezy, yet totally flirty.

Kates Post Wedding Look: Get It!

Kate, Classy and Glamourous, all fit in to the same circle when were discussing the new and fabulous duchess of  cambridge. While so sophisticated at her wedding, i was drawn to her post wedding look. Her and william left the buckingham palace the day after the wedding via helicopter and  she looked fab and so put together..her trendy dresses always look so classy! You would hardly imagine she was up late at her wedding party the night before.  I love how she belted her dress and structured it with a jacket, she looked fit for a queen. Wanna get her look? Match up the peacock dress from messesofdresses.com with a braided belt and when you head outdoors, pair your favorite blazer with it. I think a white blazer would look so chic on sunnier days or stick to a classic with black.
